Dead End Protectors

Dead End Protectors substantially reduce the time needed to properly cover dead end bells while providing positive electrical protection. Ideal for covering dead end bells located on corner poles and other congested areas; the #U106 and #U110(shown) can also be used to cover underslung disconnect switches.

They are easily installed or removed using SU System Applicators or with rubber gloves and sleeves when working 5kV or above from an insulated platform or aerial device.

All styles feature Rib-Grip construction for interlocking with 1.5" I.D. Line Hose. Connector End Line Hose or Line Hose Connectors must be used with the #U106 or #U110 while the #OR134 accepts Straight Line Hose Outer ribs on the #OR134 interlock with 2" and 2.5" I.D. Line Hose when the #UC-2 SU System Connector is used.

To adapt Dead End Protectors for use with shot gun type hot sticks, add the suffix "E" to the catalog number. The #2340 Plastic Shot Gun Eye Assembly will be supplied with the #U106 and #U110. The #OR134 will be supplied with the #2323 Plastic Shot Gun Eye Assembly.
