Rubber Insulating Gloves

 

 Linemen's Rubber Insulated Gloves are "The First Line of Defense" in personal protection against accidental contact of energized lines or equipment. Because of their importance, Rubber Insulating Gloves are manufactured with the utmost care.

High quality porcelain forms are dipped in a dissolved rubber cement solution to the ASTM thickness. Each glove is visually inspected, inside and out, as well as electrically tested at its proof test voltage in accordance with ASTM D 120 specifications. All gloves are manufactured in the curved hand style with a seamless construction. The bead is hand rolled on each glove prior to vulcanization. The flared cuff on standard gloves provides added ventilation and better fit over bulky winter clothing.

Low-Voltage Gloves (Class 0) are lightweight and flexible, yet designed to give maximum protection to metermen, electricians and other who come in contact with energized equipment and circuits of 1000 volts (1kV) or less. The extra flexibility of these gloves allows the user to handle small tools and parts easily. Low Voltage Rubber Insulating Gloves are available in Yellow (Y), Red (R) or Black (B) and in the standard specification length of 11" and 14".

Primary Low Voltage Rubber Insulating Gloves (Class 1, 2, 3 and 4) are available in overall specification lengths of 14", 16" and 18", all in the flair cuff design. The 18" overall length is supplied with a contour cuff design; straight cuff design are available upon request for no additional charge (add SC to the catalog number), SALISBURY gloves are available in either solid Black (B), or Two-Color: Yellow/Black (YB) or Red/Black (RB).

Bell Cuff Style Rubber Insulating Gloves are available in all standard lengths and colors for those properties that prefer using this design.

Gloves are offered in sizes, 8, 8 1/2, 9, 9 1/2, 10, 10 1/2, 11, 11 1/2, and 12.

If desired, identification numbers or letters can be permanently branded or ink stamped on the gloves. Characters are branded into the back of the gauntlet area near the bead. Maximum, 10 characters and spaces per line.

To get the utmost protection and life from Rubber insulating Gloves, leather protectors should always be worn over the rubber glove while in use. Gloves should always be visually inspected before each use and stored in glove bags when not in use.
